Your rabbit will shed in several different ways. regular shedding can be helped by brushing her daily. a full coat blow is when your bunny sheds lots of fur to the point where she may have bald spots on her body.. Loki goes through spurts of shedding. i pluck when he's sitting by me and i'm petting him, but nothing ever comes off, yet he sheds like crazy on top of his hut and the corners of his cage. another thing we do when he gets to where he's shedding a lot is just roll the lint roller right over him.. My rabbit is a dwarf. he's about 4years old or so. he's been shedding like crazy for the past few days. he's got 3 bald spots on his back...and doesn't seem to be done shedding..
It looks like your rabbit is loosing hair or shedding, well it is! molting is when a rabbit looses its coat (shedding) and grows a new coat, this is also known as blowing their coat. a molt can last from 2 to 6 weeks, or more, it varies from rabbit to rabbit and from breed to breed. the rabbit molts regularly at different stages in its life.. Hi chandielee, my bun sheds like crazy too!! lets hope someone can help us!-i need to get a brush, but like you, i don't think that'll help much.. Yes, this is completely normal, my rabbit does the exact same thing.. even though they are indoor rabbits, their bodies still go through the cycles of having thicker coats for winter, etc. your bunny is simply shedding his/her winter coat..
