The higher coverage a foundation, the less you can mess around with shades. if i want a high coverage option, it had better match my skin color at that exact moment, whereas if a foundation provides less coverage i can get away with wearing it even if it isn�t a perfect match�blending is a wonderful thing.. Random complaint: i find it annoying that chanel�s foundation shades seem to be different in canada/europe compared to the us. for instance, i know my pro lumiere shade is #10 in canada, but if i look online at saks or nordstrom, the foundations are given names or they are numbered like 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0..
