Shedinja substitute? what if a pokemon uses substitute and then baton pass so you can switch with shedinja? what would happen if you hacked substitute onto a shedinja? what happens if shedinja uses eruption/water spout in hackmons? what happens if shedinja uses endeavour?. So i'm seeing people posting about how shedinja can now use substitute, but when i tried, i got a message saying it doesn't have enough hp to do so.. Shedinja should be used as a pivot or to check attackers that can't touch it. when you aren't sure what the opponent is going to use against shedinja or when they make a strange switch, scout with protect instead of hard switching. shedinja can lure in dark-types and trade its focus sash for a ko or switch to a teammate to take them on..
Shedinja, having a maximum of only 1 hp, cannot make a substitute. substitute can be stolen by snatch . smellingsalt will not have any of its additional effects applied if it hits a substitute, even if the pok�mon behind it is paralyzed .. Shedinja is the only pokemon to have 1 as its stat and to have a stat that is unaffected by leveling up. glitch pokemon like missingno. and decamark are the only other pokemon with unorthodox stats. shedinja can learn but cannot use substitute, bide, and rest due to his 1 hp stat.. Shedinja is often forgotten because people claim that there are better pokemon to use. however, one must not ignore shedinja's niche: walling a great deal of pokemon in the uber tier. x-scissor is shedinja's primary stab move, dealing good damage against mewtwo, latios, latias, some deoxys, and darkrai, to name a few..
